Already have a silver WLAN Pi, but want to put it in one of the new WLAN Pi Handheld cases? Then you’ve come to the right place! This WLAN Pi Handheld kit includes everything you need to assemble your silver WLAN Pi into the official WLAN Pi Handheld case!
The kit includes:
- 3D printed case
- M3 screws and nuts
- MicroUSB to USB-C cable
- USB-C to USB-A adapter
- The official WLAN Pi Handheld sticker for the front
To build the WLAN Pi into the case, you’ll need to provide:
- Silver WLAN Pi
- Comfast CF-912AC wireless NIC
Note that the older black WLAN Pi is NOT compatible with this case, as it doesn’t have the USB port in the correct position for the Wi-Fi adapter. Only the current-model silver WLAN Pi will work with this case.
The 3D-printed WLAN Pi Handheld case keeps all of your WLAN Pi components bundled together and protected from drops and tumbles. The case is printed with PETG, which offers a nice balance between rigidity and flexibility. No more assembling your WLAN Pi when you arrive on-site – it’s all contained in one case like your other handheld networking tools and meters, and you can chuck it back in your bag when you’re done.
Both power and data connectivity is available through the built-in USB-C cable, which conveniently clips onto the back of the WLAN Pi Handheld when not in use. Still, using USB-A? No worries; the USB-C cable includes a USB-A adapter on the back which also clips into a recess in the case. You can also still see the power and activity LEDs, and the microSD card is completely accessible. Both the Ethernet and USB-A ports on the bottom of the WLAN Pi are easily accessible. The sticker on the front of the WLAN Pi Handheld lists at-a-glance information such as the default IP address, username, and password.
