Shared Spectrum LTE - Another Opportunity for the Wireless LAN Professional
LTE and Wi-Fi have been fully separate wireless services since their inception, though they will now be operating in the same unlicensed spectrum. The confluence of new shared spectrum frameworks, multi-operator enhancements, and cloud management is enabling LTE networks and services that will be deployed and operated much more like Wi-Fi than traditional mobile networks. The WLAN Professional, with their expertise in deploying and optimizing lower power access over unlicensed spectrum, is well positioned to play a leading role with Shared Spectrum LTE. This session will provide an overview of Shared Spectrum LTE, with a focus on developing WLAN Pros to benefit from this emerging opportunity.
